I dream of the sea
I dream of the sea,
Under iron skies,
So far away,
From my land-locked prison.
I dream of the sea,
Of the tumultuous pull,
Luna-dragged and thrashing,
Convulsing like a serpent.
I dream of the sea,
Sharp crisp air,
Cut with salt and brine and rotting weeds,
Hurled against sea walls in the night.
I dream of the sea,
And wish,
That I could drown,
In its endless eternity.
